When I was 37 years old my husband got terminal rectal cancer. During his taking very aggressive
treatment my mother suddenly got stoke and found out she had cancer all over her many organs. This
was the first time in my life I faced the situation that I could not handle anymore. Especially when family
members couldn’t get alone with each other. I had no desire to live. I searched for a super nature power
to help me to live, I can not die, since I have to take care of my son 3 years old, my husband and my
mother.

At that time we lived in Danbury and we have many Christian friends there. We attained their Friday
night Bible study group. Then gradually I opened my heart and can understand Bible and one day when I
driving home thinking about the Bible teachings I looked the beautiful sky, trees and land around the
highway the Holy Spirit touched me deeply my tears came out I couldn’t stop it and sensed how wonderful
the God the creator surrounded me. Many nights I kneed down by my son’s cradle I prayed to God to
help my son Peter that he will know the Lord while he is young and don’t like me until late 30’s to accept
the Jesus as savior and how bad it is to look back my life was terribly wrong and mistake.
A year later in 1985 I baptized at the Candlewood Baptist Church where the Chinese Danbury Bible
study group belonged to. Then we moved to Middlebury due to my husband’s company moved to
Middlebury. Since then I and my son joined Middlebury Baptist Church (MBC). Peter grew up with the
church. I really thank the Lord provided the Middlebury Baptist Church for us. We loved the Pastor Ernie
Dieterle, Kathy Dieterle and their family. We learned camping and many craft skills besides children
Christian teaching from them.

Associated with MBC for about 25 years I left there due to the church changed pastor and many
teachings don’t fit me, such as woman should not teach male adult, etc. Then I went to Bible Church at
Waterbury for awhile. I also occasionally attained Grace Baptist Church at Cheshire.
In the past 35 years God guides us step by step let us overcome countless trials and difficulties, molded
us to keep our marriage, provided me with wisdom for the job. My husband is still alive is HIS mercy on
us. Today I read Psalm 63:8 to share: “ I cling to You; Your strong right hand holds me securely.”
